01How does the Karitek battery swapping system work?
Simply ride to any Karitek Swap Station, remove your depleted battery, insert it into the swap cabinet, and receive a fully charged battery within minutes. Then you're ready to continue your ride.
02How long does a battery swap take?
A battery swap typically takes less than 3 minutes.
03Do I always receive a fully charged battery?
Yes. Every battery you receive from a Karitek Swap Station is 100% charged and inspected to ensure it meets our safety and performance standards.
04How much do I pay when swapping a battery?
You only pay per state-of-charge (SoC) difference. For example, if you return a battery with 20% charge remaining, you only pay for the 80% that was consumed.
05Can I charge my battery at home?
Yes. Karitek offers two options.
Homeowner with existing solar system:
Karitek can advise on expanding the solar system if needed but will not perform or be responsible for the work. Once installed, the battery can be charged at home using an approved charger.
Regular driver:
Visit any Karitek Swap Station for a quick battery exchange.
06How far can I ride on a fully charged battery?
The riding range depends on the motorcycle model, rider weight, terrain, and riding style. Under normal conditions, a fully charged battery provides enough range for most daily commuting needs.
07Are Karitek batteries safe?
Yes. Karitek batteries are designed with advanced Battery Management Systems (BMS) that protect against overcharging, overheating, short circuits, and excessive discharge.
08What happens if my motorcycle is stolen?
Your motorcycle is equipped with Karitek's security features. You can use the mobile app to:
• Track its GPS location
• Remotely disable (kill switch) the motorcycle, when applicable
• Report the theft to assist authorities
09Can I use any battery at a Karitek Swap Station?
No. Only genuine Karitek batteries that are compatible with your motorcycle model can be swapped at Karitek stations.
10What happens if a battery is damaged or not returned?
Homeowners purchase their battery outright; therefore, Karitek does not control their damaged battery.
Regular drivers are responsible for taking reasonable care of the battery during normal use. They purchase and own the motorcycle, but the battery remains the property of Karitek and is provided under a rental agreement.
In accordance with Karitek's Terms & Conditions, drivers may be charged for the replacement cost of a battery that is intentionally damaged, lost, or not returned.
Such violations may also result in suspension or removal from the Karitek network.
